Mi esposa

Here, mi Reina gets a vantage point atop a Mayan ruin. There may be nowhere in the world that Jenny loves more than Mexico.

Tulum Limestone

Here the boys pose at the base of a limestone cliff at the beach at Tulum. Tulum is such a delightful Mayan ruin, with its setting overlooking the ocean...the original Mayan Riviera.

I Wanna Iguana

The boys happily display this grand Iguana--at the behest of a local in Tulum looking for a few pesos (okay, $5USD) for us to snap a photo. It was worth every penny, because Liam actually got to hold this domesticated reptile in his own hands, and perhaps to give him an ever so brief of a respite from his incessant quest to catch one in "the wild."

Tree Frog Liam

Click on the video for Liam's ascent of this grand tree across the street from our casa.

My little runner

Vivi with her trainer. This little one is running the footpaths of Mexico and always challenging her Daddy..."run with me, Daddy."

Forest Elves

Here the boys search for Mexican mammals and/or reptiles in the verdant surroundings of the Mayan Riviera. Yesterday, we chased peccary, coatimundi, and agouti.

Grandfolks

Here Liam is flanked by his Grandma Marlene and Grandpa Bob at a Mexican desayuno--well, it was Mexican for the adults; the kiddies opted for pancake-kes.

Caballero

Liam trying to blend in with the locals in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Maybe he should lose the sombrero and get a futbol, eh?

Deadhead or Phishhead

Perhaps because her Daddy just went to a Phish show...Vivi dressed up in her brother's tie-dye. She loves dancing with her brothers, Daddy and Mommy.

Vivi the snow angel

Viviana -- very content in the first snow. She is waiting to go sledding.

First Snow

Marcus and Liam revel in the beauty of our first snow of the year in our backyard. What a difference a few days makes. December 1st boasted a record high of 64 degrees...and 3 days later, a lovely covering. A couple days later we got our first "snow day" and now rain has washed it all away.

Cincinnati Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at my sister Kim's house with all my family (minus my nephews Ian and Gavin). Here we relax outside of the Cincinnati Museum complex, having just enjoyed the Children's Museum and the Natural History Museum. From left, Liam, niece Sophia, sister Lori, niece Sabrina, father Jim, Marcus, and brother Daniel.
