Hurricane Kyle's bonus

heavy rainfall. Here he heads to the kayak in
the wetland behind our house...and begins his
search for swimming amphibians.

Marc and Paulie

Marcus chilling in the backyard with his big
buddy Paul Sullivan, visiting us for the weekend
from NY. Paul commented more than once that
"it smells good here" -- perhaps reflecting his need
to get out of the city more often. We went on
cliff hikes, stayed up very late, were philosophical,
and Paulie even swam in the chilly Atlantic, where
a child mistook him for a baby Beluga, given his
palor. Good to see ya P.P.P...Paulie

Paddling Pair

Liam guides his brother Marcus on a tour of
our expanded wetland. This is still in our backyard.

Hanna hits Hannaford Cove

Liam demonstrates the side benefit of the
flooding caused by Tropical Storm Hanna. He
is kayaking in our backyard. The water is up
to my knees. 'Twas quite the windy and wet
night. Beautiful blue skies are back today. We'll
see what Ike has in store...
