The boys have hired an enforcer to keep away trick or
treaters from their candy supply.

The Day before Halloween

Marcus, Vivi and Carmen getting excited for tomorrow:
Halloween. Marcus will be a vampire (with those cool
bloody teeth), Liam a ghost (yes, a sheet with holes cut for
eyes), and Vivi, a pumpkin.

Big brotherly love

Vivi has become smiley and talkative,
thus endearing her to big brother
Liam. He likes to carry her about
the house, like "a sack of beans."

O'Toole Clan

Here we are having a Vermonty fallish picnic in a little drizzle.
Next to Vivi and me, we have Eddie, Kim, Brennan, Grace,
and Megan (and another O'Toole friend). The O'Toole girls
fought over who could hold Vivi from one moment to the
next; freeing up our hands for the first time in 2 months.

Liam in Vermont

Here Liam contemplates the seasons as he strolls a dirt
footpath in Grafton, Vermont (home of the yummy
cheese). We had a fantastic visit with Ed and Kim O'Toole
(ne Berger) at their weekend getaway from the big city.

Vivi at 2 months

Our little smiling Vivi -- having completed her second
month of life. She is smiling all the time now. Pollsters
query: She looks like mom or DAD?

Autumnal Maze

The family getting lost in a corn maze in New Hampshire
last weekend. Oh no, where's Marcus!? The fall leaves
still have a week or so before we hit peak.

Visit from Cousine Sean

Here Liam poses with my first cousin, Sean
Wagner, on the cliffs at Two Lights State Park.
Sean was visiting from the "other" Portland,
on the west coast. He had a week of 70+
weather along the Maine coast. I think today,
Sunday, October 7th, may be the last day of
our extended summer.
