Happy Holidays

The Wagner boys teaching Vivi how to appreciate the
snow. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we are off to
Chicago to spend a week with the Baileys. Hope everyone

Lobster Hiatus

The lobster pots (traps) were stacked in
Kettle Cove yesterday, signaling the end
of the lobstering season (except for in the
waters around Monhegan Island). Four
months of fixing gear and figuring out how
to pay for next season's sinking lines as now
mandated to protect the Right Whales.

Kettle Cove Sunset

A cold sunset over Kettle Cove showing the remains of
our two recent snows. They predict another storm in the
next 24 hours...our third of December. Makes deer and
fox tracking all the more easy, says Liam.

Vivi in Great-Grandma's sweater

Vivi's great grandma Bertha (Marlene's mom)
made this beautiful sweater for Jennifer's kids
(yet to be born) before she passed away many
years ago. If we all could plan so well...

Wintry hot-tubbin with the Watts

Jessie and Sammy Watt join Liam and Marcus in the hot
tub. Jamie Watt, the Daddy, joined the boys and taunted
them to do naked runs around the tree in the snow. Liam
obliged and then challenged Jamie to do the same. He
had no choice but to accept the offer.

Snow Day

Liam's first cancelled school day of the year...and our first
snow, left us with a winter wonderland. We had snow ball
fights, made a snow man, went sledding and snapped some
photos...this one in the middle of the Rachel Carson National
Wildlife Preserve.
