We enjoyed our first camping trip of the summer on Stetson
Pond (aka Pleasant Lake), at our friends "camp". Al Hepler
and Bruce Hepler...two buddies of mine and friends from my
Orono High School days are lucky enough to have lots next
to eachother on this great swimming and boating lake in
central Maine. We bought a new 5 person tent at LL Bean
en route to accommodate our expanding family. The boys
slept like logs until the sun came up at 4:50 am. Time to
fish!

Jamie, Jamie, Jamie;
Take me to your world;
A world of fun and magical things;
Where dreams still soar on eagle's wings.

But here I am still stuck at work;
My mood grows worse and I act like a jerk;
My friends steer clear and say "shape up";
My wife dusts off our old pre-nup.

But Jamie's world is wild and free;
You can skip rocks on the lake or go climb a tree;
You can spend a whole day at play with a lizard;
You can stand on a cliff and pretend you're a wizard.

I'm really not sure how he can have it this way;
He follows his heart, not what others may say;
But why doesn't it matter if he works at a job?
Why must I work and become a fat blob?

He has two darling boys and a smoking hot wife;
He greets every day and says "This is the life!";
Does he have money? No one is sure;
He's so cheap with his cash, that you'd think he was poor.

He goes with his friends on a trip every year;
It may be on Valentine's Day but he goes with no fear;
He says "it's established" from before he was wed;
But if other guys tried that they could end up dead.

Why don't the rules apply to this lad?
How come the pressure never makes him feel sad?
Why does he get to flit around like a bat?
If I tried to do it, I'd get squashed like a gnat.

So Jamie, dear Jamie, tell me your trick;
I'm losing my soul and becoming a prick;
I want to be part of Jamie's fun plan;
So I can still be a kid though I am a grown man.
