A Poem About Jamie
WagnerJamie and BaileyJen;
A fun loving couple in search of Zen;
With two young boys under their command;
They set out for a year in a foreign land.
What happened to wine and living in Spain?
What happened to politics and the great state of Maine?
What happened to schooling your boys with the nuns?
It's all out the window, cause Jamie wants fun!
Yes Jamie set out for a year far away;
For more than 4 years in one place he can't stay;
The allure of doing nothing is quite simply too strong;
He may yet write a poem or a blog or a song.
His lovely wife puts up with his crap;
She keeps him in line with a kick and a slap;
He deserves it you know he can be hard to take;
But he's so good looking she has to give him a break.
His kids will benefit from all the home schooling;
I am sure their curriculum is challenging and grueling;
Because Jamie is all about reading and math;
I am sure that his kids are on the right path.
Everyone lives for Jamie's blog posts;
We remember him fondly when when we drink a toast;
So Jamie where are you, when will you come back?
We assume it will be when you run out of jack.
Your friend,
Rob
Amigo Rob,
Unfortunately, your off-the-cuff poetry satire far surpasses my feeble romantic scribblings of mountains and family. I see that all remains the same at home...although you still sit at your desk every day, your mind is elsewhere. When is your next adventure or venture? The River Jordan is not dry yet.
You might see the Wagner-Bailey clan stateside sometime soon...
jamie darling..nice photo here...yeesh what about the lap pool? the cute bar? the chic roof top?
looks like you brought ol jenny to the local sanatorium for her birthday!!
besides that you capture BA well..muy bueno amigo!
keep having fun.xxcynthia
