The toothy Giant Galapagos Tortoise -- after a grand repast. This beast is resident at the Charles Darwin breeding center on the island Santa Cruz, where we have just disembarked from a 3 night/3 day tour to five islands. Our distinct lack of planning was rewarded with an upgrade to one of the two "Master Suites" on the boat. The Islands were quite amazing...excepting for the fact that those finnicky guides wouldn't let Liam pick up or "capture" any of the local fauna...not even a lowly lava lizard. Sheesh.
